Membership

A small community for people who want to taste more carefully, learn more deeply, and contribute generously.

Serious about wine.
Generous with one another.

Blind Wine Society brings together dedicated students, hospitality professionals, and curious tasters for analytical tasting, education, field study, and fellowship.

01

Taste analytically

We typically taste analytically rather than socially. The goal is not merely to identify a wine, but to understand why it tastes the way it does.

02

Contribute thoughtfully

Members bring curiosity, preparation, and—when requested—one thoughtful wrapped bottle valued at $35 or more. There are no membership fees.

03

Learn together

Experience levels vary. Respect, careful listening, and a willingness to share knowledge matter more than showing off what you know.

What we ask of members

  • Arrive curious, prepared, and ready to participate.
  • Protect the integrity of blind tasting and respect confidentiality.
  • Spit during structured tastings; intoxication is not part of the culture.
  • Support the group through thoughtful bottles, hospitality, and shared effort.
  • If cost is a barrier, reach out privately—grace is part of the culture.
